Biometric Data Notice
This notice explains what happens to facial geometry during the free FaceGrader scan and what numeric values can leave your device if you choose to share a score.

What counts as facial geometry here
The engine identifies facial landmark coordinates in the chosen image and derives four geometric dimensions from them. These detailed values stay in the browser during the scan and are not used to identify you.
BIPA treats a scan of face geometry as a biometric identifier whether or not it is used for identification, so FaceGrader describes the boundary plainly.

The free scan stays on your device
- The chosen photo is opened by your browser and is not transmitted to FaceGrader.
- The landmark model and scoring calculation run on your device.
- The 478 coordinates and derived values are calculated in browser memory.
- The result remains in this tab’s sessionStorage for returning and refreshing. A small photo preview and landmark coordinates may be retained there for local diagrams. They are not transmitted to FaceGrader. Use Clear result or close the tab to end this local session.
FaceGrader does not collect, capture, receive, or otherwise obtain face geometry during a free scan. There is no server retention schedule because there is no server copy.
When enabled, site analytics is a separate data flow and carries none of those values. When a scan ends we count that a scan ended, and if it was refused we record which refusal reason applied. Those events contain no landmark coordinate, no ratio, no angle and no score, and the shared score link is reported only as /s/[shared]. Analytics preferences in the Privacy Policy let you disable analytics without affecting the scan.

Clear result removes the stored numeric result, preview and landmark coordinates. Closing the tab normally ends the tab-scoped session, though a browser can restore session data when restoring a closed tab. FaceGrader has no server-held photo or landmark coordinates from the scan.

No sale
We do not sell or trade face geometry from the free scan. We may respond to a valid legal order as required by law.

Security and responsible use
Keep the chosen image on a device and in a browser you trust. Choose only your own image or one for which you have permission. Do not use the tool to harass, rank, or humiliate another person.
